I like the way you capture a sense weariness and contrast that with other's expectations.Nathanhttp://mutatingthesignature.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907443983750294322.post-51286728957843652182009-04-03T19:54:00.000-07:002009-04-03T19:54:00.000-07:00Hi, Holly! It's just good to see you whenever you can be here.

I love the beginning, and the verse about the kite flapping in the tree is perfect. It makes me sad, but at the same time, it's beautiful. I can relate to the heaviness, the loss. Very powerful.Juliehttp://www.juliebuff.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907443983750294322.post-52967180888919505292009-04-03T09:37:00.000-07:002009-04-03T09:37:00.000-07:00Well I absolutely disagree with Ayesha, sorry *gri...Well I absolutely disagree with Ayesha, sorry *grin*. The first half works so well for me, especially the third stanza, which is beautiful, as is the fourth. I like the inversion in the sixth, too. WHAAAmbulance), and the last line is my absolute favourite!
But somehow, the first half (excluding the first verse- which is brill), just seems off to me. Especially the second verse (I know... "up"). There definitely needs to be something in that space, but maybe something else..Ayeshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14351265310858336460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907443983750294322.post-24659372641803685862009-04-02T17:24:00.000-07:002009-04-02T17:24:00.000-07:00Hey, you're back!
